| Well I'm Putting it here has well! (I've fixed most grammatical and spelling mistakes BTW) I wrote this about some months ago? The Harbringer of Death PrologueThe Basis of all life was set up, the light and holy people got the heavens... the living had the grounds and the dead got the rotting lands. However Death thought this was wrong, why should such puny living things be living in better conditions than them. The only real reason this was set up was simply because the holy people thought of death less important with his unholyness, the living prayed to them and they liked them more. But Death started a rebellion and got his own Harbringer of Death which would lead his soldiers to gain the lands he thought should be his. And slowly this happened, starting with sin, it corrupted some of the first living, then the sin became stronger and murderers and criminals came about to serve death. The Harbringer gathered them and made an army. Then came the great plague, one of death's first’s efforts to wipe out the living. The plague wasn’t strong enough; forces of justice from the holy heavens repelled them. Death waited till the holy heavens lost their interest in the living and death told his harbringer to bring chaos upon the world. All the harbringer asked as his payment for doing these things was his own name; his name became Cranok the Harbringer of Death. And so the chaos continued until they came upon a kingdom called Gold Shire, it had lots of white magic and holy paladins which made it very difficult for Cranok to defeat them. A very special knight upon them named Brenard slaughtered the undead and brought hope to the land. But all that hope was wiped out when Cranok himself came to the front lines and burst his way to the main castle. Ahh now ima do it like first person the prologues over couldn’t think of a good way to transition into the main story so I’m doing this lol Part 1 All hope lostBrenard the knight ran with his plate red armor to the queen and laid his shield covered with runes down " He’s here! He’s gotten to the gate we-we don’t have much time we need to get out!" He said in Panic. But he was too late. The Queen and Brenard Turned to the wooden throne doors as they heard the murderous screams of a footman being killed. A figure of unholy dark armor entered the room stepping over the dead body, at the figure's helm gazed two dark red eyes. As he walked up everything around him began to look dead. All the soldiers backed up a little seeing the ground rot under his feet. "NO," Brenard said, “it’s too late." Five of the Queen's guards ran up to Cranok the Harbringer of Death to fight him but with a push of his hands Cranok sent them flying and one after another hit the walls, some catching on fire from the torches hanging on the walls. Blood thirsty ghouls flooded into the throne rooms killing all the Queen's guards. Brenard ran up to the Harbringer in the middle of the throne room and clashed swords with him, but he wasn’t strong enough. Brenard's sword was hit away by Cranok leaving an opening. Cranok stabbed Brenard and Brenard lurched to the ground covered with blood. The Queen ran down the stone steps with her blue cloak dragging behind her from her throne and began fighting Cranok with magic. But all her magic was useless, she tried a fire bolt but the Harbringer warded it off with his hand. She tried blasting a frost bolt at him but the same happened. The Harbringer laughed as he walked up to her and grabbed her by the neck. As the Queen struggled to get out he grabbed his Sword and sliced her head clean off. In the castle a ghostly silence came upon the small number of survivors. All hope was lost. Part 2 The RebellionAs the Harbringer of Death walked out of the throne room with his ghouls Brenard the Knight slowly stood up in a last effort to kill the harbringer but was too weak and fainted again. * * * * * * * * * Brenard was awoken by a surviving guard, " how many more survived?" Brenard asked. " Only about three others," the guard replied in sorrow. " We must quickly head to safety before Cranok discovers we survived, we should head to Elling Cove and stay in one of the caves." "Yes, sir," The Guard said, and then the guard ran off to the other guards and told them of the plan. Brenard looked around among the dead bodies and saw his sword covered with runes and picked it up. About five feet from it lied the queen's bloody head, It was hard to recognize covered in all the blood, Brenard quickly turned away at the grotesque sight of it. Brenard suddenly noticed that he was healed and wondered how it could have happened. He headed to the castle kitchen which was a mess and gathered food and water for the trip to Elling Cove. "I think we have enough food and water let’s get going we can’t spend too much time pondering about," Brenard said. “Yes let’s get going now," The guard replied. They began their journey which would take a short trip through the desert into the oasis lands and a quick swim to the cove. Meanwhile The Harbringer quickly jumped onto his horse and rode to the nearest town under Albion's rule to announce their new ruler, Death while his mass of ghouls followed behind. As he entered the town people everywhere hid in their houses looking out their windows, but a braver soul stood in the town. He was of old age but looked like he would've been a strong knight in his earlier years and wore clothes suitable for a mayor. “Why are you here you Deathly being!" The Mayor yelled with courage. In response the Harbringer laughed along with all his ghouls. " You will not address me as that for I am your new ruler!" The Harbringer yelled " Who-What do you mean? No you’re not the queen is our ruler!" " HAH! Not anymore I chopped her head clean off" " You vile being!" " I see your going to be a problem, eh? Why don't I chop your head off just like I did to the queen?" " Ahhhh, no need for that my king I shall do what you wish," The mayor said realizing what would come if he continued to argue. " Very good" The Harbringer shuffled through his pockets and handed the mayor a piece of paper. " The new rules...," The Harbringer explained. Rules 1. No one shall speak of the old queen, if so they shall be decapitated. 2. Killing is no longer a crime. 3. I shall receive one sacrifice a day for my ghouls, if failed to comply I shall take 5 woman and children that day. 4. This town's job is to start making a shrine to the god death. 5. Stealing is no longer a crime. 6. No white magic is allowed, if someone performs it they shall be burned to death. 7. No sense of justice or freedom is allowed 8. If the mayor fails to have these rules carried out he shall be decapitated along with 10 villagers. The Mayor shivered when he read the rules knowing this would cause total chaos. The Harbringer rode off to do the same to other towns and cause chaos. Back with Brenard After a trip through the desert the men were glad to see the oasis lands up ahead. But something seemed wrong they saw smoke among the palm trees. As they ran to the oasis lands they saw a small town under attack by ghouls. " No, not here! Is no where safe?" Brenard yelled with anger. " We should help them," The guard said. Brenard nodded and they ran to the town engaging with the enemy. The town had about ten guards but it wasn't enough. Brenard quickly thought of an idea. " Guards retreat to the trees!" Brenard yelled. The guards listened as they were desperate. The villagers came too, as they all ran behind the trees Brenard cast a fire bolt to the trees catching them on fire and creating a wall of fire to ward off the ghouls. Just a mile behind them was the ocean where they could swim to the cove. With the new guards and villagers Brenard led them to the ocean as the stupid ghouls burned themselves trying to get past the fire. Brenard would start a rebellion against Death. Part 3 PreparationsEverything was going according to plan for death, the next step would be to prepare for his arrival. Death ordered the Harbringer to prepare the ritual to summon death to the living lair. Death would do something that has never been done before; he would merge the Dead and Living lands. Everything but one reagent for the ritual was reached, the heart of the mighty dragon Searinox. The only problem was that they didn't know where Searinox lived. Searinox's location was only known by an old hermit by the name of Arthur who lived in the forest near the oasis lands.

| A boy about fourteen years old covered with dirty farmer clothing sat out on his house's porch with his little sister that looked about thirteen years old. In the horizon they saw black figures running towards them ruining the crop. The boy grabbed a pitchfork and ran inside with his little sister. His old father Peter who was once a well known swordsman turned around as his son ran in with his sister and slammed the door. "What’s wrong Charles?" Their father Peter asked," Tell me what’s wrong." "I s-s-saw ghouls," Charles his son yelled in fright. "Ghouls..." Peter started shuffling through some papers, “Son I need you to do me a favor, Take this map and go to the house marked on it, you'll meet a man named Arthur he'll know what to do." "Y-you want us to leave you behind!?" Charles asked in disbelief. "Well it’s the only way, Son I love you and I’ll always be with you and your sister Abby, I’ll be watching over you but I've already lived my life, but son, you and your sister haven't. If it means I have to die for you to live I'm going to do it son. get on the horse outside and go as fast as you can to Arthur, we don't have much time, so get going," The father said calmly to his son then went and got his sword and shield from atop his fireplace. "Fine, we’ll go," Said his son sobbing. Charles ran out with his sister Abby and jumped on the horse pulling his sister on. They rode to the silent forest where they would find Arthur. The legendary swordsman stepped out onto his old wooden porch with his old sword which had seen much blood and his shield that had many beatings and looked straight at the ghouls. As one ghoul approached jumping up to tackled the swordsman with such swiftness the swordsman cut the ghoul's head off before it got within a foot of him. Letting out hell's rage he ran towards the ghouls destroying all in his path, but he was still old. After killing about half of the ghouls he collapsed, his muscles and bones couldn't take it. He couldn't move and the ghouls killed him as he lay on the ground helpless, but it was a quick death for the ghouls went for the heart first.
Brenard stepped into the murky cove with the villagers and guards. They all rested their from the attack on the village and tended wounds. Brenard needed to think of a plan to defeat the Harbringer. First he needed to gather more rebels, but most of the towns that might be willing to help were under watch by the Harbringer. Another problem was they couldn't stay in the cove for too long, they'd have to keep moving towards the forest and find help there. "Men and woman," Brenard said speaking to all of the people in the cave," Our first move shall be to gather more rebels. Tomorrow we shall head to the forest and look for help there," Deep in the back of his mind he knew the forest might not be safe either but they had to try. "Our first motive is to survive and recruit, our secondary motive is to find a way to defeat the Harbringer and bring peace back to this land." "How are we supposed to do that, the Harbringer is too strong!" said one of the villagers. "We'll find a way it’s either that or sit around in this chaos and die," Said Brenard convincing the villager. The sun began to set and everyone began to sleep with Brenard standing guard, later he would change shifts with another guard. Brenard peered out at the ocean wondering what could lay in it while standing guard. Then he heard a melodious voice singing in the distance. Brenard got up and looked around spotting a beautiful woman covered in a white dress playing a golden harp, she was sitting atop a rock, and everything around her seemed to glow. The woman had pointy ears so Brenard realized she was an elf. Brenard was awed by the sight but the woman noticed him and quickly ran away. "Wait! I mean no harm!" Brenard said, but he got no response, He sat the rest of the night thinking about her and wondering who she was. Then he switched shifts with one of the guards and went to sleep.
Part 4 nowhere is Safe
Charles Came to an opening in the forest after riding for about half an hour, He saw an old mystical house. Charles tied the horse up on a tree and his sister followed him to the house. The boy raised his hand to knock on the door but someone inside opened it before he got the chance. "Who might you be young boy?" Said the man emerging, he was covered with wizard's clothing and had a little soot on his blue robe. "I am Charles son of Peter the legendary swordsman and this is my sister Abby, my father sent me here for safety, ghouls attacked our farm." Said Charles in dismay. "Can you help us?" Said his sister quietly "GAH, Your father shouldn't have sent you here!" Said the wizard while stepping back inside," Come in." The two children came in and took a seat at the table at the center of the small house. "The whole reason the ghouls came is because they are looking for ME, they should be here soon we must run while we have the chance that your father gave us," said the Wizard while gathering supplies. "Do you think father survived?" Asked Abby. The wizard ignored her for he didn't want to answer that. "Come on now, Get outside and get on your horse," The Wizard walked out with the two children. The two children got on their own horse and the wizard called his and got on it. "That way," Said the Wizard while pointing east. "The mountains?" asked Charles. "Yes, we will find Searinox and warn him," Said the Wizard. "Wait who is Searinox?" Asked Charles. "Enough questions! We have no time." The wizard yelled. So then they rode off towards the mountains.
Morning came and Brenard got up to gather the people for the journey to the forest, they would just have to go east from the cove and they would be in the forest. An hour later everyone was up and ready to leave. "Come on now we should get going," Brenard said while starting to walk. The others followed him. As they walked through the forest they found an abandoned small home, which had horse tracks near them. "More people, we should follow these tracks," Said the knight as the others agreed. After about three hours of walking in the silent forest they came upon three figures lying down in the forest. Brenard drew his sword just in case and stepped in front of them. The tallest one looked up. "Ah Brenard a relief to see you! I thought you died at the caste," Said the wizard with joy. "Ahh Arthur your alive as expected, why might you be running isn't your house in the middle of nowhere safe?" Joked the knight. "Apparently not, The Harbringer wants me for information, he needs the heart of Searinox," Said the wizard becoming serious again, "I was heading to warn the dragon." "Then we shall accompany you, the help of a dragon may be one of our best chances," Said Brenard. "Very well then," Said the Wizard. The Wizard got up and awoke the two sleeping children. "These are survivors from an attack from the ghouls," The Wizard explained. "I see...," Brenard replied. Charles got up and recognized Brenard, a famous knight. "It's Brenard! Now we're all saved," Said Charles with glee. "I'm sorry but I don't think so, even I cannot defeat the Harbringer," Said the knight. Charles joyous feeling went away and he got on his horse and Abby got on it too confused by the new people. They all began to the mountains to another hope.

| Part 5 Searinox
The Harbringer rode on towards the farm seeing the dead body of a farmer. Jumping over and past the farmer's dead body he rode towards the forest along with his ghouls trampling the forest trees. Back at the bottom of the mountain Arthur leads Brenard and the others to discover a hidden but huge staircase leading up the mountain. "This leads to Searinox's cave." the old man explained. It would take days to climb it... but as they began to climb a might black dragon the size of fifty men swooped down from the top of the staircase confronting his "intruders". "GRRRR who are you people...," The dragon said in a deep tone. The old man came to the front of the crowd. "It is me Arthur, We have come to warn you that a dark force wishes to take your hear for evil doings." The old man explained. "HAH, they could not slay me...," The dragon said boastfully. "Actually they could, it’s the Harbringer of death...,"The old man said. "Hmmm . . . well then we shall go to my dragon brothers to get help," The mighty black dragon said. "Very well then may we ride on you?," said the old man knowing the mighty dragon hated to be rode on. "Ive got a different idea...," the dragon said with a smirk on his face. But after he finished his sentence they heard a rustle from behind and emerged a crowd of ghouls. But the dragon breathed fire on them turning them to crisp ashes. Then came the Harbringer, The dragon breathed fire on him too covering him in smoke probably lighting him on fire... it seemed too easy, it looked like the dragon easily killed the Harbringer. But a dark figure emerged from the smoke killing one of the villagers standing too close to him. "Fire cannot kill me," Said the Harbringer in a dark voice. The Harbringer raised his sword to kill another villager when Brenard jumped in front of him. "What do we have here?," the Harbringer said, "I thought I killed you, your a persistant one!" "No, you are! you never die," Brenard said slashing back at him, "Searinox go, take the people to your brothers I shall deal with the Harbringer!" Withought a second thought the dragon swooped up grabbing all the people in his claws and flew off. "GET BACK HERE," the Harbringer yelled. "You’re not going anywhere! ,"Brenard said getting in the Harbringer's way. "You know you cannot defeat me!" The Harbringer yelled. "Yes, but I’ve given hope once again to this land," Brenard said. "Hope is nothing!," Yelled the Harbringer while striking Brenard, Brenard guarded with his sword. Then the Harbringer's sword cut halfway through Brenard's sword like it was wood. Brenard sidestepped dodging the blow while releasing his sword. He came around to the side of the Harbringer and stabbed his horse. The horse fell over along with the Harbringer and Brenard jumped up to stab the Harbringer only to be stabbed straight through his chest as the Harbringer held his sword up towards him. The Harbringer got up and kicked the dead horse. "Ghouls bring me another horse...,"The Harbringer said staring at Brenard's Dead body. "He made me fall..." said the Harbringer under his breathe.

| Part 6 Lessons
"I think Bernard’s gone for sure... it was a brave death Charles, he died in honor," Said Arthur putting an arm around Charles," No boy should be going through something like this." "No... I’m no boy anymore I'm fourteen! Arthur, teach me how to fight and use magic," Charles said with determination in his eyes." The old man chuckled. "Just like your father was..." Arthur said with a grin. "So, is that a yes?" Charles said cheerfully. "Yes, I suppose it’s reasonable in these conditions, you'll need to be able to protect your sister after all." The old man said glancing at Charles's sister in the corner of the cavern sitting next to another dragon. The dragon was blue with a soothing look; she was a female dragon, probably a nursery dragon. "So, can you teach me now?" Said Charles. "Hmm First I'll have to teach you a bit about the origins of magic." Said Arthur," You see, the humans usually ban people like me from their villages, they think us like witches, that's why we are always living secluded out in the middle of nowhere. Few know the origin of magic and how it works; magic is almost a mystery all we know of its history is it was created to defend off death that was holy magic. Death couldn't get up to our living world, most people think that the heavens gave us holy magic, but one of death's nameless advisers gave Death a great idea. The adviser told Death that he should make his own magic, dark magic. With the knowledge death knew of how the heavens created magic he conjured up his own spell to make his very own Harbinger, and so the adviser was given the power of strength and became Death's Harbinger. And Death’s magic evolved and became stronger and stronger letting his Harbinger corrupt the living and bring back the dead. Meanwhile old wise men, the elders were created their own magic, red magic; the magic was a mix of holy and dark magic. I myself use red magic and that is what I shall teach you." Arthur explained. A glint of awe showed in Charles's eyes, all he knew was how to swing a sword, now he had the potential to become a great magician!
Brenard was in a vast space of darkness, he felt cold and lonely. There was no sound; he couldn't see anything but his own dull body in the middle of all the darkness. Then he heard something, it sounded like a deep groan and in a flash of light the Harbringer appeared in front of him and Brenard couldn't move. The Harbringer somehow looked even darker than his surroundings except for his glowing red eyes and his long black steel sword with red glowing runes on them. As the Harbringer stepped closer to Brenard, Brenard felt like he was about to freeze, an aura of cold and darkness surrounded the Harbringer as he was about two feet from Brenard. Brenard was scared, what wouldn't be scared in this situation? Then the Harbringer raised his sword as if to cut Brenard in half. Brenard shut his eyes in fear but nothing came upon him. He opened his eyes to discover he was in the skies watching a black dragon flying among the clouds all alone. Then all of a sudden in the distance he spotted other flying figures coming close. As they drew the black dragon went on even faster, to escape them. Then Brenard noticed it, on the ground was a vast number of skeletons, they were all dragon skeletons. Brenard shifted his gaze from the ghastly skeletons to see the black dragon fighting off some giant bat like creatures with a four foot wing span and blue eyes. Although they were much smaller than him there was about six of them, all with great speed they swirled around him continuously clawing him with their great talons. The Black dragon swirled around breathing fire in a circle only to miss as the beasts easily moved out of the way.
Brenard woke up on a bed in a dark room lit with a single candle, he couldn’t see much but the drawer under the candle. He noticed the drawer looked very elven, Brenard tried to stand up but a jolt of pain went through him. He was bandaged almost all around his body, he fell back on the bed and another jolt of pain went through his back and he yelled out in pain. Then a door opened in the room and Brenard winced at the light on his eyes. An elven woman came into the room covered in a white dress, she seemed to glow, her green eyes stared at him. "Who are you?" Brenard asked in a weakened voice. "Shhh," The elf said calmly, “Rest, I found you injured and saved your life, sleep." Then she closed the door and Brenard pondered on who she was for a minute then quickly fell back to sleep.
Part 7 Ethena
Brenard's eyes opened as he was blinded by the light shining into his room. The elven lady stepped into the room and looked at his wounds. "Try to get up, I think you've healed enough, you heal quickly," said the elven lady with a soothing voice and a gentle smile. Brenard was entranced by her beauty and steadily sat up. "That's it, now come walk outside, I've made you some breakfast," The elven lady said in that soothing voice, she paused for a moment then walked out of the room. Brenard starred at the door and slowly got onto his feet, he wasn't in his uniform but in a gold laced robe. He began to walk towards the door and he passed a mirror, he stepped back starring into the mirror and touched his face. On his face was a long scar down his cheek, something to remember the Harbringer by. Brenard cursed under his breath as he wondered how he got here, he'd been having many odd dreams returning to all the horrid skeletons of dragons covering the ground in masses. He wondered what these dreams meant. The living room was made completely of wood, all the furniture looked elven and they were all created with great craftsmanship. He looked back at the table where a silver plate lay with two fluffy pancakes and assorted vegetables to the side. He sat down on the chair and began to eat. The food tasted much better than the food at home, the vegetables much fresher and the pancakes were something he couldn't describe. For a moment he was lost in the great taste and mesmerized by this room. Sunlight shined into the room illuminating everything. "I'm guessing you want to know how you got here," Said the elven lady stepping into the living room. She took a seat onto the chair on the opposite side of him. "Oh, yes please tell," Brenard said gulping down his food. "I've been following you quite some time, even when you almost died at the castle," She said staring into his eyes, “You see I came, to deliver something to the queen. But I came too late for when I came the place was in ruin and it was a horrific scene with much blood. Then I saw you laying there and you were breathing, and a few others nearby you. You were lucky to be alive; I quickly tended to you all using . . . the queen’s staff. I know it was a bit disloyal but if I didn't use it you'd be dead right now. I put it back of course but I stayed hidden before you awoke, I couldn't trust you. But now that I've watched you I know you’re not one of them." Brenard interrupted, “One of them?" "Yes, many mortals were bribed by the Harbringer with power and money, greed overtook them, sin over took them, a horrible thing to succumb to him, to become a ghoul." Brenard interrupted again, “Wait, so they became ghouls?" "Yes, the Harbringer wouldn't follow up his promise; it’s too good to be true. Anyways, so when you were attacked back at the mountains and you were attacked by the Harbringer I took you in after he was long gone. You were lucky you survived, just like you did after the castle attack," She said with s steady gaze. "The gods!" Brenard said excitedly. "No, they have abandoned us, we are on our own," Said in dismay.
Part 8 We Start With A Book
Searinox walked up to the front of the massive cave and gazed out at the skies, "Gargoyles, they only come out at night don't they?" A voice behind him said. "Yes, and all these stupid dragons are sleeping at the most dangerous time," Searinox said turning around to Charles. "But you'll protect us right?" Charles asked. "Hmm . . . well gargoyles come in masses, if I were to fight a mass of them I'd lose miserably," Searinox replied. "Oh . . .," Charles said, then he turned back and lay down next to his sister falling asleep.
The next day
Charles woke up and tried to find Arthur through all the dragons. "Arthur! Where are you?" Charles yelled out in the cave. "Here, over here Charles," Arthur beckoned to him; he was near the entrance of the cave. Charles walked over to him and saw that he was holding a book. "Look at the book, it’s got some lessons in it, about how to use energy to create magic, read it," Arthur said handing him the book. "O.K, thanks Arthur," Arthur turned around and began talking with the dragon elders. "Hmm . . . “Charles said while staring at the book. "Let’s see . . .,"Charles mumbled and flipped the book open. "Hey Charles what are you looking at?" Said his sister coming up behind him. "Nothing go away," said Charles shooing her off. His sister frowned. "Why?" His sister said trying to peek at what he was doing. Charles went over to a corner and started reading while his sister sat next to him trying to see what he was doing. Charles lifted his hand after reading a bit and stared at it. "Hmm . . . “Charles said staring at his hand. He began concentrating a little spark of fire appeared in his hand. "Charles you’re on fire!" his sister yelled. "No you dummy its magic!" Charles yelled at her. "Oh . . .," His sister said going back to Arthur.
Part 9 The Shard
"Well what were you supposed to be delivering?" Brenard asked finishing his breakfast. "This . . . ," The woman said pulling out a yellow pyramid shaped object. "Is that? . . .," Brenard said getting cutting off the woman. "Yes, the last holy shard, the missing piece," She said putting it down on the table. "Well then we can destroy him!" Brenard said excitedly. The woman shook her head," No, we still need the other orb, it must be complete and the harbringer took it when he raided the castle," "Then we shall steal it back!" Brenard said. "No, are you crazy? It’s impossible," she said. "Back to reality . . .," Brenard mumbled. For a while they had an awkward silence while Brenard studied the shard. Brenard turned to her, “what’s your name?" "Ethena, Daughter of Prowl," Ethena answered. "Prowl? You mean the Elven king?," Brenard said astounded. "Yes, don't talk about it," Ethena said sharply. "Ok. . . Where are we?" Brenard asked "In Arthurs house," Ethena answered. "You know Arthur?" Brenard asked. "Yes, he was hired as my tutor when I was a child," Ethena answered. "I see . . .," Brenard looked around and walked up to a book shelf. "He has a lot of elven items . . .," Brenard remarked. Ethena stayed silent and stood up walking next to him. She stared at one book and took it out, then she put it in her bag. "Why are you stealing his things?!," Brenard yelled angrily. "Calm down, He’s abandoned this place," Ethena said, "Well if you can walk we better get going."
